Today, the Honourable Bardish Chagger, Minister of Small Business and Tourism and Member of Parliament for Waterloo, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for FedDev Ontario, announced funding of up to $483,480 to Plum.io Inc. to commercialize an innovative hiring tool for employers.
Businesses need the right resources to further develop and bring their innovative products to market. The funding, through FedDev Ontario's Investing in Business Innovation initiative, will allow Plum.io Inc. to further expand its psychological testing tool to help employers screen candidates during hiring processes. It will also enable the company to expand sales and marketing efforts to help grow its business.
FedDev Ontario's funding will also help strengthen the information and communications technology sector and software development industry in the Waterloo region.
