Winner Will Receive $10,000 Planning Grant

WASHINGTON, March 18, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Center for Global Policy Solutions seeks financial inclusion innovators with ideas for bringing low-income communities into the financial mainstream. Selected innovators will participate in a public competition to be held in Washington, DC, April 21, as part of the 2016 Color of Wealth Summit. The agenda is available at bit.ly/2016WealthSummitAgenda.

The deadline to submit proposals is March 31, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. EDT. Information on how to submit proposals is available at bit.ly/FinancialInclusionRFP.

A panel of business-savvy professionals will critique the concepts and offer an insider's perspective on what makes a proposal investment-worthy. The innovators will present their proposals describing products, services, practices and/or policies that help vulnerable populations enter the financial mainstream.

The winning innovator will receive a $10,000 planning grant from the JPMorgan Chase Foundation to further develop or implement the concept. The competition, titled "Shark-a-Thon: Chewing Over Innovative Ideas for an Inclusive Economy," is part of the third annual Color of Wealth Summit, themed "The Inclusion Revolution: Race, Economic Mobility, and the Future of America." The summit will focus on strengthening entrepreneurship in communities of color and on ways to create equitable economic development that benefits existing residents.
