Bergkamen, 23 March 2016 - Upon a comprehensive review, the management
board of Steilmann SE (ISIN DE000A14KR50) arrived at the conclusion today
that in the course of its current business developments Steilmann SE is
illiquid. In tandem with this, restructuring negotiations that have been
conducted in the meantime and which were promising to date have not
achieved their goal.
 
Having regard to these circumstances the management board will now
immediately file for insolvency.
