Fish & Richardson Attorney, Dr. Tiffany A. Reiter, Selected for Leadership Council on Legal Diversity 2016 Pathfinder Program

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - Mar 31, 2016) -  Fish & Richardson announced today that Dr. Tiffany A. Reiter, an associate in the firm's Boston office, has been selected for the 2016 Pathfinders program of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD). This new program is designed to train early-career attorneys in critical career development strategies including leadership skills and networking. The LCLD is committed to creating a truly diverse legal profession in the nation's law firms and corporate legal departments.

"This is a great honor and opportunity for Tiffany," said Ahmed J. Davis, a patent litigator at Fish who is also the firm's diversity chair. "She already has demonstrated strong leadership potential in our firm, and in the legal profession."

At Fish, Dr. Reiter's practice emphasizes U.S. and foreign patent prosecution, opinion and due diligence work, and portfolio advisement in a wide range of technical areas in the life sciences. During her post-doctoral fellowship at the Harvard School of Public Health, she worked on a project combining the fields of neuroscience, molecular biology, and biochemistry. While at the Mayo Graduate School, Dr. Reiter studied the redox regulation of metalloenzymes using molecular biology, cellular biology, biochemistry, and a variety of spectroscopic methods. She also has experience with transgenic plant research.

Dr. Reiter is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) and the Women's Bar Association. She received her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 2012, her Ph.D. in molecular biology from Mayo Graduate School in 2002, and her B.S., summa cum laude, in biotechnology from St. Cloud State University in 1997.

Formed in 2009, LCLD is a national organization made up of more than 220 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners working to build a more open and diverse legal profession. The LCLD Pathfinder Program, which was piloted last year, is an initiative that targets junior associates and the youngest members of corporate law departments. For information, visit www.lcldnet.org.
