CarCharging Promotes Clean Air Efforts by Deploying Blink Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure at Antelope Valley Mall in Palmdale, California

Antelope Valley Air Quality Management District Supports Clean Air Efforts Through Blink Electric Car Charging Stations

MIAMI BEACH, FL--(Marketwired - Apr 1, 2016) - Car Charging Group, Inc. (OTCQB: CCGI) ("CarCharging"), the largest owner, operator, and provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging services, announced today that it has deployed four Blink EV charging stations at two unique locations at the Antelope Valley Mall in Palmdale, California. Located in the center of northern Los Angeles County, the Antelope Valley Mall is a 1-million-square-foot, single-level enclosed mall and features Macy's, Dillard's, JCPenney, Sears, Cinemark 16, Claim Jumper, Dick's Sporting Goods, and more than 130 specialty shops.

The Blink EV charging stations that are located near Claim Jumper and Blaze Pizza parking lots were provided and deployed in association with a Plug-in Electric Infrastructure grant provided by the Antelope Valley Air Quality Management District (AVAQMD). The mission of the AVAQMD is to protect the people and the environment of the Antelope Valley from the effects of air pollution through developing and implementing programs and regulations to improve our air quality. The District's Governing Board approved this project in support of reducing petroleum dependency and regional air pollution, increasing public awareness, and creating resources for electric vehicle charging.

To celebrate the installation and create customer awareness for the Blink EV charging stations, a ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 10am on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the Blink station located on the south side of the mall near the Entertainment Plaza/Mall main entrance. CarCharging Chief Executive Officer, Mike Calise, and Antelope Valley Mall's General Manager, Scott Cummings, will be in attendance.

"We are delighted to have been chosen by the Antelope Valley Mall and Antelope Valley Air Quality Management District to support initiatives that lead to further adoption of sustainable transportation," said Mike Calise. "As the largest owner, operator, and provider of EV charging services in North America, we look forward to other retail centers and districts following the commendable lead demonstrated by Antelope Valley."

"Antelope Valley Mall is excited to partner with Blink for our electric car charging stations," said Scott Cummings. "We are excited to be able to offer this service to valley residents while enjoying their shopping experience."

"Providing Blink electric vehicle chargers at the Antelope Valley Mall is a great place to bring awareness to Antelope Valley residents," said Bret Banks, Executive Director of Antelope Valley Air Quality Management District. "It encourages the purchase of electric vehicles and makes a great statement on the direction that the valley is headed by way of alternative fuel and sustainable energy."
