5-Star Moscow Hotel Reveals Fully Renovated Rooms and Suites

Discover Luxury and Innovation at the Moscow Marriott Royal Aurora Hotel

MOSCOW, RUSSIAN FEDERATION--(Marketwired - Apr 4, 2016) -  Russia's legacy for spectacular art, whether it's music, dance, literature or theater, has found a new outlet at the Moscow Marriott Royal Aurora Hotel. This stunning, city-center property has long enjoyed a reputation as one of the finest 5-star hotels in Moscow, and with the completion of its guest room renovation, it is now one of the most inspired as well.

"The renovation of all 232 guest rooms and suites reflects our commitment to providing a superlative stay for our guests, as well as our enthusiasm for our cultural heritage," explains General Manager Konstantin Goriainov.

The results are nothing short of extraordinary. The deluxe suites bear the names of some of Russia's most beloved cultural icons, including Tchaikovsky, Glinka and Borodin, and the interiors live up to the homage. Mirrored and pearlescent finishes complement the palette of dove gray and beige, as well as the natural wood and oak parquet floors.

Accents, whether they arrive as a pop of plum-colored chairs or as Venetian glass chandeliers, sconces or lamps, evoke the luxury of imperial Russia, while the sleek furnishings and modern amenities speak to contemporary travelers.

And the details take the entire experience to the next level. Bathrooms wear Bianco Carrara marble and Brazilian Azul Macaubas granite. Even the furniture handles bear the imprint of opulence -- they are all handmade and decorated with mother-of-pearl from the Philippines.

If the suites can claim an artistic legacy inspired by "Swan Lake," "The Queen of Spades," "Heroes," "Ruslan and Lyudmila," "Prince Igor" and their ilk, it's not surprising that the artworks hanging on the walls are equally beautiful. Fashioned out of liquid glass using the exclusive Tiffany technique, each piece combines paint, gold and silver for a translucent tapestry effect that once again bridges the gap between stately and cutting-edge.

The project, which began last November, utilized the creativity and expertise of the Austrian firm Robert Wolte & Partners for the suites and the British design firm, RDD, for the guest rooms. Visitors who stay in one of the newly updated guest rooms will enjoy a warmly elegant welcome. Tones of beige, amber, burgundy and violet complement the refreshed carpeting, furnishings, wallpaper, light fixtures and draperies. The effect, in other words, might well be hailed as yet another of Russia's artistic masterpieces.
