Cathilea Robinett Wins Gertrude Crain Award

President of e.Republic Recognized for Her Extraordinary Record of Achievement and Service in B2B Media

SACRAMENTO, CA--(Marketwired - April 04, 2016) -  Cathilea Robinett, president of e.Republic Inc., was awarded the prestigious Gertrude Crain Award during the 62nd Annual Jesse H. Neal Awards on April 1 at Pier Sixty in New York City. The award was presented by Connectiv, the Business Information Association, a division of the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA).

The Gertrude Crain Award honors a female executive within the B2B media and information industry who embodies the SIIA Women's Leadership and Networking Council's mission of excellence, service and success. The award is named after Gertrude R. Crain, a successful and highly regarded B2B executive whose career achievements serve as a role model for female executives across generations.

"Cathilea is a foremost business role model for all leaders," said Marion Minor, CEO of EPG Media & Specialty Information and Chair of SIIA's Women's Leadership Council. "She has successfully created new lines of business with impressive financial results. She is also a change agent in the business community, having created a bipartisan women's leadership group to educate and inform a powerful group of influencers."

Among her many career successes, Robinett launched the ground-breaking Women in Government Leadership program in 2014. The program is made up of an annual cohort of 25 female elected officials and is a year-long fellowship that includes leadership and management retreats, networking and relationship-building with other women leaders. A core part of the program is training leaders to mentor in their own backyards, creating the next generation of women in public service.

"Cathilea's career path and ambitions outside of her specific role embody leadership," commented one of the Gertrude Crain Award judges. "Her development of the Women in Government Leadership program speaks volumes to her desire to be involved, mentor and develop the industry in which she works."

The Women in Government Leadership program and other efforts like it demonstrate Robinett's exceptional leadership skills, while her breadth of knowledge in digital government have made her a sought-after speaker at venues such as the UN, Harvard, the White House, and countless government and education institutions and conferences. After receiving the Gertrude Crain Award, Robinett is scheduled to appear as part of a prestigious panel at Microsoft's Envision conference.

Robinett was recently promoted to president of e.Republic, where she has worked since 1992.
