SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwired - Apr 4, 2016) - Igneous Systems, a company focused on bringing the value of cloud services to the customer premises, today announced recent additions to its executive team to bring its technology to market. Stephen Pao was named Chief Marketing Officer and Marc Tanguay was appointed to the position of Vice President of Strategic Sales. Both executives joined Igneous full-time after having served on the company's Board of Advisors.

"Steve and Marc are both seasoned executives with whom I've personally worked and grown with in my prior companies in both Seattle and Silicon Valley," said Kiran Bhageshpur, CEO of Igneous Systems. "As we emerge from our R&D phase, I look forward to working with Steve and Marc to make Igneous a high growth company as we bring our innovative technology to market."

In his role, Pao is responsible for all marketing functions, including product management, product marketing, corporate marketing and channel marketing. Prior to Igneous Systems, Pao was an early employee and executive at two fast-growing technology companies that did an Initial Public Offering (IPO) -- Latitude Communications (now a part of Cisco) in 1999 where he was VP of Product Management and Barracuda Networks in 2013 where he was SVP and GM of the Security Business. In addition, Pao is a veteran of several other Seattle and Silicon Valley companies in their early phases, including Oracle Corporation, Visioneer (now a part of Nuance), Asta Networks, AskMe Corporation, and All Star Directories. Pao is a graduate of MIT, with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering.

Tanguay is responsible for sales to the company's strategic accounts. Prior to Igneous Systems, Tanguay led strategic sales teams at both Isilon Systems and NetApp through their highest growth years, also spanning both Seattle and Silicon Valley. Tanguay's teams have served the world's largest consumers of IT infrastructure, including Apple, Facebook, Yahoo!, LinkedIn, Cisco, Oracle and Intel. Tanguay was VP of Sales for Pillar Data Systems (now part of Oracle) where he helped win its first customers, developed its first sales team, and was key to developing its Go-to-Market strategy. Tanguay is a graduate of Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice.

Igneous Systems has been running and managing alpha and beta versions of its technology at customer sites and is preparing to deliver its first customer systems for production use. The company plans to publicly announce its services in late 2016.
