Airworks Compressors Corp Shakes Up Capitol Hill

EDMONTON, AB--(Marketwired - April 05, 2016) - Airworks Compressors Corp, a leader in well site emissions technology, was recently invited to Washington D.C. to brief several senate and congressional offices on Airworks' cutting edge technology with regards to upcoming emission legislation. Airworks' latest innovative technology provides solutions for well site emission reduction. Airworks' patent pending instrument air package, the Aurora Eco-System™, is designed for, but not limited to, "off grid" Bureau Of Land Management well sites, as well as other remote sites, to manage the use of natural gas in the production process.

Natural gas is currently used for instrument operation on natural gas production well sites, which must then be flared as it is unable to be returned to the pipeline, resulting in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions high in Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) such as methane and formaldehyde, along with the wasted gas. The Aurora Eco-System™ replaces the use of natural gas, used in this process, with clean compressed air. This allows all gas to remain in the pipeline for market use and zero emissions, resulting in a very short return on investment while meeting emission compliance.

Airworks presentations on Capitol Hill were well received with many positive comments from senate offices such as, "Technology like this will help producers meet and exceed current and upcoming emission reduction legislation."

Following the presentations, Darryl Weflen, President of Airworks Compressors Corp, stated, "It was exciting to see leaders recognize the importance of well site emission reduction. Even taking into consideration today's low gas prices, the Aurora Eco-Systems™ return on investment is short, keeping valuable resources in the pipeline. This, along with required emission compliance, makes the AES™ the only truly green technology available to natural gas producers."
