Star Navigation and Chengdu Spaceon Technology Co. Ltd. of China Move Forward on Joint Certification in Canada and China

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 6, 2016) - Star Navigation Systems Group Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SNA)(OTCBB:SNAVF) ("Star" or the "Company"), and Chengdu Spaceon Technology Co. Ltd., ("Spaceon") are pleased to confirm their joint product, STAR-T.T.T.™ (Track, Talk, and Text) has entered the qualification phase, with the execution of the environmental test plan.

This test plan (and its procedures) has been completed by the two companies under the supervision and agreement of the relevant certification authorities in Canada and China.

Mr. Viraf S. Kapadia, CEO of Star declared,

"This will allow the product to be qualified in both Canada and China and ready for the two markets at the same time. Further to the Cooperation Agreement we signed with our partner in China, the STAR-T.T.T.™ will be marketed by Spaceon in China, and by Star Navigation for the rest of the world. In addition, the same arrangement has been made for Spaceon to market Star's main system, STAR A.D.S.® which is currently in operation and, shortly, the STAR V-trk™, an entry level system. The three products utilize the same approach for worldwide tracking and monitoring in real time, and use the same core ground control center. They address different market segments, with specific form-factors and applications for cost effectiveness reasons while maintaining compliance with security regulations today and expected. This grants Star Navigation an unequaled flexibility to meet the specific requirements of commercial, business, and regional aircraft as well as for helicopters."
