Change of Command Ceremony at Okimaw Ohci Healing Lodge

NEKANEET FIRST NATION, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwired - April 6, 2016) - Today, the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) held a Change of Command Ceremony at Okimaw Ohci Healing Lodge. This occasion marked the change in command from the outgoing Kikawinaw Veronica Sinclair to the incoming Kikawinaw Lee Anne Skene.

This ceremony highlights the importance of being the leader of Okimaw Ohci Healing Lodge and the responsibilities associated with taking on the role of a Kikawinaw. It provides CSC with a valuable opportunity to gather together and witness the passing of responsibility for the safety and security of staff, offenders and the community from one person to another.
