TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - April 07, 2016) - Canada's Off-Road Compression-Ignition Engine Emission Regulations now have stricter standards than those first introduced by the Government of Canada in 2006. The Regulations have now moved to Tier 4, which now requires all off-road, commonly known as "nonroad" vehicles to be fully complaint in Canada by 2018. And, if your vehicle operates in the United States, the EPA is mandating Tier 4 compliance even sooner -- by the end of 2016. Hunter Ultrasonics, a Canadian-based company, is uniquely positioned to help all nonroad equipment owners maintain their exhaust systems within these tougher Tier 4 emission regulations. Only Hunter Ultrasonics patent pending ultrasonic cleaning equipment, which is assembled in Canada, is currently set-up to handle the specific large filters used by nonroad equipment and vehicles.

Ken Hunter, founder of Hunter Ultrasonics, who has been a leader in industrial ultrasonic cleaning since 2010 added, "For the Tier 4 nonroad equipment requirements mandated by the Canadian and United States governments, we have developed a patent pending technology and are the only provider in the Canadian market currently able to service all our customers' nonroad needs. This includes maintaining not only diesel particulate filters (DPFs), but also a whole range of components including exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) coolers and diesel oxidation catalysts (DOCs). We pride ourselves in developing solutions that save our customers time and money."

Hunter Ultrasonics can handle components from all types of equipment including excavators and other construction equipment, farm tractors and other agricultural equipment, heavy forklifts, airport ground service equipment, and utility equipment such as generators, pumps, and compressors.

Ultrasonic cleaning, or "sound wave" cleaning, is the safest and most non-invasive way to clean ceramic DPF's. Working at a microscopic level, the equipment uses cavitation bubbles to blast away any fouling. The benefits are:

  • Harmless to soft metals like aluminum and brass
  • Harmless to other materials like plastics, rubber, fibre gaskets, and glass
  • Thermal cracking is completely eliminated
  • Removes, dirt, oil, grease, lubricants, and carbon
  • Multiple filters can be cleaned at once reducing down time
  • Filter substrates are safe from high pressure air knives
  • Uses green environmentally friendly cleaning solutions

According to Dan Hrodzicky at Texis Truck Exhaust, "We have been removing, upgrading and cleaning DOC's and scrubbers for over 20 years and now, cleaning DPF's , DOC's , EGR coolers and other exhaust components with ultrasonic equipment for over 7 years. We made a business decision to go with Hunter Ultrasonics over the competitor as we felt they provided a better clean, were able to clean multiple filters at the same time and were flexible enough to allow us to clean different parts and components that the other guys couldn't. A number of times we have been able to clean items that the competitors and dealers have said are not cleanable. We are happy with our decision to go with Hunter Ultrasonics. We know that our customers are saving money and are happy as well."
