Industry Veteran Brings Over 30 Years' Experience to Leader in Enabling Cloud Storage Consolidation for Global Enterprises

MOUNT LAUREL, NJ--(Marketwired - Apr 11, 2016) - Talon, the leading provider of Microsoft™ based Intelligent file caching solutions for distributed enterprises, today announced that industry veteran Charles Foley has been appointed as Senior Vice President. Foley joins the Talon management team as the company expands its industry leadership in providing optimized storage technologies allowing global enterprises to consolidate their distributed storage into private and public clouds.

"We are pleased to welcome Chuck on to the leadership team here at Talon," said Shirish Phatak, CEO of Talon. "Chuck's experience as President of Tacit Networks, as well as his input on our Advisory Board, helped lay the groundwork for the value proposition that Talon brings to its clients today as they seek to leverage the consolidation benefits of both private and public clouds. We are looking forward to putting his background and insight to work for Talon and our clients."

Foley has over 30 years of experience leading both private and public companies to success. Prior to Talon, he founded and served as Chairman and CEO for Watchful Software, Inc. bringing the company to a leading position in the data-centric cybersecurity market, raising venture financing and establishing relationships with industry leaders and Fortune 500 customers. Prior to Watchful, Foley was the Chairman and CEO of TimeSight Systems, Inc., a developer of leading-edge storage and video management solutions for the physical security market. He also served as President of Tacit Networks, a leader in Wide Area Network acceleration systems, designing the marketing and business development strategies that led to its profitable acquisition by Packeteer. Foley sits on the Board of Directors as Chairman for Critical Links, Inc., Instamour, Inc., ITF-USA, and Delphine Group, while also holding advisory positions with RackWare, Inc., ATS, Inc., BWG Strategy LLC, SolidWitness, and myPlanit.

"I'm thrilled to be working with Talon," said Foley. "The people at Talon are some of the best technologists in the market today. The technology has hundreds of man-years of validation, and the market is screaming for solutions to help overcome the cloud adoption obstacles presented by the explosive amount of unstructured data."
