Aeglea BioTherapeutics Announces Closing of Initial Public Offering and Partial Exercise of the Underwriters’ Option

(NASDAQ:AGLE), a biotechnology company committed to developing enzyme-based therapeutics in the field of amino acid metabolism to treat inborn errors of metabolism and cancer, today announced the closing of its initial public offering of 5,481,940 shares of its common stock at an initial public offering price of $10.00 per share, which includes the partial exercise by the underwriters of their option to purchase an additional 481,940 shares of common stock. The shares began trading on The NASDAQ Global Market on April 7, 2016 under the symbol “AGLE.” The net proceeds to Aeglea BioTherapeutics, Inc. from the sale of the shares in the offering are estimated to be approximately $47.1 million, after deducting underwriting discounts and commissions and estimated offering expenses.
