BIRMINGHAM, Ala., April 19, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Capstone Development Partners ("CDP") (www.capdevpartners.com) received multiple Student Housing Business Innovator awards at the Interface conference on April 14^th. Cornish Commons, which was developed by CDP in collaboration with Cornish College of the Arts in a public private partnership, was awarded the Best Public/Private Partnership Development, Best New Development and Most Creative Public/Private Financing awards. Cornish Commons, located on Cornish's campus in downtown Seattle, houses over 430 Cornish College of the Arts and City University of Seattle students. Student Housing Business is now the second organization to recognize Cornish Commons for an award, since the student housing project opened in July 2015. Cornish Commons also received the "2015 Building of the Year" award from the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce in January 2016. Cornish Commons was financed through the P3+ program, a Capstone Development Partners and Harrison Street Real Estate Capital strategic partnership; designed by Ankrom Moisan Architects; constructed by Howard S. Wright Construction; and the project is managed by COCM.

The Cardinal at West Center, a project that was developed by a CDP joint venture, received the Student Housing Business Innovator Award for "Best Architecture for >300 beds". Modus Studio was the architect for The Cardinal. The Cardinal houses 470 students who attend the University of Arkansas.
