VALCARTIER, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - April 20, 2016) -
Close to 100 wheeled military vehicles of all types will set out from Valcartier, in the Québec City region, towards Gagetown Base, New Brunswick, from April 21 to 23, 2016.
The military vehicles will set out from Valcartier at regular intervals so as not to impede the flow of traffic and travel east successively on Highway 573, 73 and 20. Convoys will then go south on Route 185 to Edmundston and on Highway 2 until they reach their destination (Gagetown).
In Gagetown, the vehicles will be used for the training of about 275 soldiers, mainly from 5e Régiment d'artillerie légère du Canada.
At the end of the training period, the Valcartier-based troops will gradually return home using the same route in the opposite direction.
