All-Star, Clarence Young, Brings Teamwork to Phoenix Integrated Store Consultants

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - Apr 26, 2016) - Phoenix Integrated Store Consultants has topped the charts for the last 9 weeks for marketing and sales for their clients in the satellite and communications. Having recently expanded their retail partners in the fortune 500 sector, the company is experiencing record breaking growth in the second quarter. When asked about the company's recent growth, Market Manager, Clarence Young, attributed Phoenix's rise to the internal management development system which trains employees in a background of business development, sales and marketing strategy, communications and teamwork. As the head of the office, Young's top motto is "Teamwork makes the dream work."

When we sat down with the Market Manager, Young revealed that his teamwork-focused management style and drive come from a desire to succeed and bring others up with him. He stated, "I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan where I went to school and ran track. Most of my work experience was in retail growing up. I was a retail manager in Cookeville, Tennessee and the moved to Atlanta to work with the family in real estate while I got my MBA from Argosy University in Atlanta." While having an education has always helped him, Young felt like his career was elsewhere and applied to the management training program to gain real world experience with marketing and management.

One of the things that attracted Young to the opportunity was that at Phoenix, individuals from all walks of life have the opportunity to build a career and a future. When asked about his initial training period, he asserted, "Throughout my training with this company, I became more mentally tough and more disciplined which is the key to being successful in anything. Moreover, this program bought me the value of teamwork just like sports did, that's why it is important now that I am the manager to have a team like company. There are so many companies where everyone is out for theirs only and here teamwork is the only way we can get it to the next level. The competition in our office not only drives production but drives our guys to be better people." Young definitely believes that friendly competition helps individuals to push for the next level and to shoot for progression.

Recently, he hosted a fundraiser for Phoenix Cares, called Bid for the Ball, which raised money for St. Jude's Foundation for Children. At the event, he and his entire team had the chance to bond over some great food and friendly competition during a basketball game in the park. Influenced heavily by his background as an athlete, Young stated, "Being involved in sports helped me to develop my competitive drive. What it takes to be great in sports, are the same things that it takes to be great in business. You have to have passion to win and that has influenced my management style to coach with passion and to be the best you can no matter what you do."

To encourage teamwork and team involvement, he encourages rising leaders to pick team names that individuals can identify with to encourage them to bond and come together to succeed. Young said, "The name is important to leaders because we want them to establish their own identity and culture for their teams and the move up to management. Our company chant -- Rise. Rise. Win -- was developed for our guys to take pride in what we are doing and to take pride in our culture. How many people and companies talk about being the best every day? Our chant represents what we do in life when adversity hits." Representatives at Phoenix Integrated Store Consultants rally together to build something great. They are not just marketing professionals but entrepreneurs in the truest sense of the word.

Teamwork is the most important key to being successful at Phoenix, and if Phoenix Integrated Store Consultants is a team, then Market Manager, Clarence Young, is most decidedly the coach! When asked about his personal management style, Young asserted, "I see myself as a coach rather than a manager because I have to lead by example. I care about my team not just because I want to hit standards but also because I care about them as people and how they are doing. My goal is not just to develop people to manage a program but to develop people to be successful in life in general, and that is what think a coach does."
