Stella-Jones Reports Director Election Results


MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - April 28, 2016) - Stella-Jones Inc. (TSX:SJ) has announced its director election results following its annual meeting of shareholders, held today.

All of the nominees proposed as directors in the Company's Management Information Circular, dated March 17, 2016, were elected on a vote by show of hands. In total 59,547,046 shares were represented in person or by proxy at the meeting, representing approximately 86.12% of the outstanding shares as of the record date of March 17, 2016.

The proxies received by management for the election of directors were as follows: 50,626,016 proxy votes were cast for the election of Tom A. Bruce Jones, representing 85.46% of the proxy votes cast; 49,909,330 proxy votes were cast for the election of Gianni Chiarva, representing 84.25% of the proxy votes cast; 58,678,287 proxy votes were cast for the election of George J. Bunze, representing 99.06% of the proxy votes cast; 52,096,839 proxy votes were cast for the election of Brian McManus, representing 87.95% of the proxy votes cast; 58,675,160 proxy votes were cast for the election of Nycol Pageau-Goyette, representing 99.05% of the proxy votes cast; 58,950,965 proxy votes were cast for the election of Simon Pelletier, representing 99.52% of the proxy votes cast; 44,615,779 proxy votes were cast for the election of Daniel Picotte, representing 75.32% of the proxy votes cast; 53,265,042 proxy votes were cast for the election of James A. Manzi, Jr. representing 89.92% of the proxy votes cast; and 59,031,796 proxy votes were cast for the election of Mary L. Webster, representing 99.65% of the proxy votes cast.
