Uni-Select Holds its 2015 Annual and Special Meeting of Shareholders

- Board of Directors appoints André Courville as its new Chair

- Shareholders elect President and CEO Henry Buckley and Michelle Ann Cormier as directors


BOUCHERVILLE, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - April 29, 2016) - Uni-Select Inc. (TSX:UNS), a leader in the distribution of automotive refinish and industrial paint and related products across North America, as well as in the automotive aftermarket parts business in Canada, today announced that the Board of Directors of the Corporation has appointed independent corporate director André Courville as its new Chair. The announcement was made following the 2015 Annual and Special Meeting of Shareholders held yesterday, which crowned a year marked by a significant transformation of the Corporation's asset mix and the adoption of a new approach to drive long-term, sustainable profitable growth across both its segments.

Mr. Courville is an independent director of Uni-Select since 2014. With a solid track record in mergers and acquisitions as well as proven competencies in accounting and auditing, he was chair of the Audit Committee and a member of Uni-Select's Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee this past year. Mr. Courville succeeds in this role to Mr. Robert Chevrier, whom has decided to retire at the Meeting.

During his Meeting address, Henry Buckley, President and CEO of Uni-Select, expressed his gratitude towards Mr. Chevrier's contribution as Chair over the past 4 years: "I cannot thank Robert enough for his guidance, wisdom and support, key factors which contributed to Uni-Select's growth over the years. At the Meeting, the shareholders of the Corporation also elected President and Chief Executive Officer Henry Buckley as a new director as well as Michelle Ann Cormier as a new independent director. The biographical notes of the new Chair and newly elected board members are below.

The 10 directors proposed for election at the Meeting were elected by a majority of the votes cast by the Shareholders present or represented by proxy at the Meeting. The directors will remain in office until the next annual meeting of shareholders or until their successors are elected or appointed. ABOUT MR. ANDRÉ COURVILLE

Mr. Courville is a corporate director and a chartered professional accountant. Prior to his election to the Board, he acted as senior audit partner at Ernst & Young with 37 years of experience working with Canadian, U.S. and International listed companies in various industries. He is currently President and Chief Executive Officer and director of the Institute of Corporate Directors (Que╠übec Chapter) and a director, Chair of the Audit and Finance Committee and member of the Executive Committee of the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation. Mr. Courville has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from HEC Montréal, completed the Kellogg Program at Harvard University, the Senior Management Program at Western University and was granted his ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. He is a Fellow of the Québec Order of Chartered Professional Accountants.

ABOUT MR. HENRY BUCKLEY

Mr. Buckley has been President and Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation since August 1, 2015. Prior thereto, Mr. Buckley was appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Corporation on September 8, 2014. He was previously Vice President for Specialty Brand Companies and Mergers and Acquisitions at W.W. Grainger Inc. between 2012 and 2014, Vice President and General Manager at Acklands-Grainger Inc., a division of W.W. Grainger Inc., between 2007 and 2012 and prior thereto held various senior management roles in the industrial distribution sector in the United States and Canada. Mr. Buckley holds a Masters in Business Administration from Queen's University.

ABOUT MS. MICHELLE ANN CORMIER

Ms. Cormier is an Operating Partner of Wynnchurch Capital Canada, Ltd., a Chicago-based private equity firm with offices in Detroit, New York, Los Angeles, Toronto and Montréal since July 2014. From 2001 until July 2014, she was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at TNG Capital Inc., a private investment and holding company. Ms. Cormier sits on the Board of Directors or Dorel Industries Inc. and is a member of its Audit Committee. She also chairs the Board of each of Industries Moreau Inc. and Pro-Fab Inc. as a representative of Wynnchurch Capital and sits on the Board of Directors of Hydro-Québec. Ms. Cormier holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Bishop's University. She is a member of the Québec Order of Chartered Professional Accountants. She is also a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors, Women Corporate Directors (Québec Chapter) and of Diversity 50.
