Hemp, Inc.'s Processing Facility Proudly Offers Its First Product for Sale

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwired - May 3, 2016) - Hemp, Inc. (OTC PINK: HEMP) executives announce today that its wholly owned subsidiary, Industrial Hemp Manufacturing, LLC (IHM), a soon-to-be leading producer of quality natural fiber and other cellulose based products for major growth markets, is set to release its first product in the marketplace... an environmentally friendly absorbent, SpillSuck™. The super absorbent biodegradable material is made from the core of kenaf and hemp plants and is one of the world's most absorbent natural materials used primarily for oil, chemical and other liquid spills. David Schmitt, COO of Industrial Hemp Manufacturing, LLC, informed Hemp, Inc. executives that the company's first 25,000 pounds of SpillSuck™ are in the final stages of packaging, after which the product will be ready for market.

"This is a big deal for Hemp, Inc. (OTC PINK: HEMP) because this is our first environmentally friendly product-to-market from our decortication plant in Spring Hope, North Carolina. While our subsidiary, IHM, has been making excellent progress in getting our decortication plant fully operational, we are extremely pleased we were able to churn out the first 25,000 pounds of SpillSuck™ from the mill portion of our facility to go to market," said Bruce Perlowin, CEO of Hemp, Inc.

According to Schmitt, twenty-five thousand pounds are currently being bagged for market delivery. "In the next 2 to 3 weeks, we expect to have another 100,000 pounds ready and 2 - 3 weeks after that, we expect to have 50,000 pounds ready for market delivery. Once in full production, our target is one to three million pounds per month," says Schmitt.

SpillSuck™ can be used to clean up liquid spills from oil, diesel fuel, hydraulic fluid, solvents and water, to name a few. The "easy-to-handle" natural absorbent is thirty times more absorbent than clay, absorbing liquid quickly and it is extremely cost effective in cleaning up oil spills on land or water. The inner core material from the kenaf dates back to ancient Egypt where it was once grown for fiber and fuel.

Today, the natural fibers of the kenaf plant are used in products such as light weight plastic composites, erosion control blankets, high quality paper and cloth. The kenaf plant, grown in America, can reach heights of up to 16 feet in a single year. Hemp, Inc.'s environmentally friendly SpillSuck™ is available in 6-quart plastic jugs and 3 cubic foot 25-pound paper bags and is currently being packaged for the market.

Hemp, Inc. executives are in talks with major retail suppliers, though no names have been mentioned as of yet. With SpillSuck™'s market availability in the next week or two, Schmitt says the company's next environmentally friendly product is not too far behind.

"Our next environmentally friendly product to hit the market, after SpillSuck™, will be our loss circulation material (LCM), DrillWall. It's a micronized plant cellulosic material that is a natural non-toxic antimicrobial," says Schmitt. The LCMs used as drilling fluid act as a borehole stabilizer, a lubricating agent, a torque and drag reducer, as well as preventing differential sticking. LCMs are utilized by many oil and drilling companies because it quickly seals highly permeable formations of fractured shale, sand or pre-salt during the drilling process. Moreover, Hemp, Inc.'s LCM, DrillWall™, can be used with all types of drilling fluids (water based, oil based, or synthetic oil fluids).

With an array of natural, environmentally friendly products to come and the largest commercial decorticating plant in the United States, Hemp, Inc. has positioned itself as a leader in the agricultural industrial hemp industry that has emerged. As Americans continue to gravitate toward more sustainable living, the benefits of industrial hemp are undeniable thus causing the industry to grow by leaps and bounds. So much so that the industry birthed its first business journal. The inaugural issue was published in January, 2016... a clear indication of the growth, desirability and maturity of the industrial hemp industry.

The Hemp Business Journal (HBJ) provides data, market intelligence and strategic information to an exclusive group of businesses and investors in the industrial hemp industry. According to the HBJ, "Industrial hemp is an agricultural commodity already being cultivated globally for use in a wide range of products -- foods and beverages, supplements, bio-fuels, textiles, industrial applications such as oil-well linings and green building materials as well as other manufactured goods." It projects the United States industrial hemp industry will reach sales of $1.5 billion by year 2020. The HBJ will serve as an unparalleled business tool to help those in the industry make informed decisions in an industry brimming with opportunities.

ABOUT INDUSTRIAL HEMP
When it comes to environmental impact, industrial hemp is a crop that can actually give back to the earth. It takes less water to grow and process, is less polluting from pesticides and can actually help rebuild depleted soil. A hemp crop requires half the water alfalfa uses and can be grown without the heavy use of pesticides. According to a USDA report in 2000, industrial hemp is not very susceptible to widespread disease. Most contagion can be controlled through seed treatment before planting. Additional research has shown that industrial hemp can be used for phytoremediation of polluted environments and significantly detox toxic soil.

Hemp is a durable natural fiber that is grown as a renewable source for raw materials that can be incorporated into thousands of products. It's one of the oldest domesticated crops known to man. Hemp is used as a nutritional food product for humans and pets, building materials, paper, textiles, cordage, organic body care and other nutraceuticals, just to name a few. It has thousands of other known uses.
