OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - May 9, 2016) - The Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science, invites members of the public to observe Mercury's transit across the Sun through telescopes provided by volunteers from the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada.
Representatives of the Canadian Space Agency will also display a lunar rover on Parliament Hill. In addition, the National Science and Technology Museum will have interactive displays suitable for children and families. These activities are part of Science Odyssey, a Canada-wide event celebrating science and innovation that is taking place from May 6 to May 15.
The Minister will make brief remarks at approximately 12:30 p.m. Media are invited to attend.
