Quartz Project to Speak at Living Future, May 11, Seattle, Washington


SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - May 10, 2016) - Quartz, a collaborative between Google, Healthy Building Network (HBN), thinkstep, and Flux, is pleased to announced that their project lead, Vivian Dien, will be speaking at The Living Product + Declare Summit, this Wednesday, May 11th in Seattle. The Summit gathers material industry leaders to discuss sustainability, manufacturing, and product trends as well as updates on the Declare and the Living Product Challenge. The Quartz Project is the AEC industry's first and only open data initiative to combine health and environmental impact data on building materials to empower the AEC industry to achieve greater sustainability.

Quartz's Dien will speak on Wednesday, May 11th from 2:15 to 3:15 p.m. on a panel that will explore innovative new databases and material tracking tools that have the potential to transform the material selection process. The panel is titled Making Material Selection Easy, and will also include James Connelly from the Living Product Challenge, Jeff Frost, Integrated Design Specialist with SERA Architects and Ryan Dick, Founder and COO of GIGA.
