RESTON, VA--(Marketwired - May 10, 2016) - Unissant, one of the region's noted providers of advanced data analytics, announced that Robert J. Guerra, a distinguished federal IT executive, is joining the company as President and Chief Strategy Officer. Guerra will report to Unissant's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Manish Malhotra, and will help him guide the company's strategic vision and continued growth.

"We're thrilled to have Rob Guerra join Unissant in this critical leadership role as we embrace the next phase of our evolution," Malhotra said. "Rob brings a track record of great accomplishments. Having him on our team gives us a competitive advantage as we look to broaden our reach and capabilities in the government health IT and financial markets."

Rob has a remarkable record of leading corporate growth strategies. For the past 30+ years, he has served in many senior leadership roles. He has received numerous IT industry awards, including being selected six times by Federal Computer Week for the Federal 100 award. Rob is the only private sector executive to receive this recognition so many times in the history of the award. He was also named Industry Executive of the Year by the Federation of Information Processing Councils (FCIPC), AFCEA Bethesda Executive of the Year, and one of the 50 Most Influential People in the Federal IT Community.

Most recently, Rob served as a founding board member of Agilex Technologies where he assisted in the growth of the company prior to its acquisition by Accenture Federal Systems. Prior to that effort, he was Executive Vice President of Sysorex Information Systems Inc. where he oversaw the identification, account development, contract capture, and contract implementation aspects of the company's $145 million per year Federal IT business, growing the business to $210 million prior to its sale. He also served as Vice President of Strategic Programs at Falcon Micro Systems, a major provider of Information Technology solutions to Federal agencies. In addition, he served as President of Everex Federal Systems, leading the company's growth from $22 million per year in federal sales to $168 million.

Supporting community involvement, Rob served as the founding President of the Bethesda/NIH chapter of the Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association (AFCEA), and now serves on its Board of Directors. On four separate occasions he served as Chairman of the NIH Children's Inn Gala raising a total of $2,750,000 in support of the families and children who are served by the Inn. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Loudoun Abused Women's Shelter (LAWS), a support and advocacy group for victims of abuse, where he was Co-Chair of the Gala committee raising over $625,000 to support children who are victims of physical, emotional and verbal abuse. As one of the founders of the Industry Advisory Council (IAC), Rob served as Program Chairman, and Vice Chairman of the Council overseeing its growth from 25 to 225 members over its initial 7 years of existence.

He noted, "This is an exciting time for Unissant and I am proud to be part of this tremendous organization.
