WEST PALM BEACH, FL--(Marketwired - May 16, 2016) - The annual Florida Communities of Excellence Awards winners were announced here on May 13. The Awards are bestowed on private residential communities for achievements that improve the quality of life for their residents. Board members, residents and professional managers from 23 communities were honored at the Conference & Awards Gala at the Palm Beach County Convention Center.
Now in its eighth year, the Awards was created by the Community Association Law practice of Becker & Poliakoff and the Florida Community Association Journal, the leading publication for community association board members and management professionals.
Winners are chosen from small communities (up to 400 units) and large communities by an independent panel comprised of representatives of leading state and local government departments and agencies, and officials at industry and non-profit organizations. Judges also come from the fields of journalism, resource management, education, public safety and public advocacy.
