LXI Reference Design Workshop to Be Hosted in Munich

NIWOT, CO--(Marketwired - May 19, 2016) - The LXI Consortium and Rohde & Schwarz will be hosting the first LXI Reference Design Workshop in Munich, Germany, since the release of the LXI Reference Design, Version 1.0 to consortium members in March. The workshop is free and open to the public in the morning on June 9^th from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. The afternoon session is for LXI Consortium members only. To register for the workshop, fill in the LXI Reference Design Workshop Registration Form, and email to Jochen Wolle, Co-Chair of the LXI Reference Design Working Group, at Rohde & Schwarz or Bob Helsel, Executive Director, LXI Consortium. Logistics for the LXI meeting in Munich, including the workshop, are located on the Munich meeting page.

The workshop will be presented by Peter Plazotta, Geschäftsführer Dipl. Ing. (FH), founder of TSEP. The LXI Consortium worked closely with TSE Plazotta (TSEP) to develop the LXI Reference Design and Implementation starting in March 2014.

The agenda for the morning workshop is:

• "LXI Today and into the Future" - Presentation by Steve Schink, President of the LXI Consortium
• Summary of the design and implementation phase of the LXI Reference Design
• Benefits of using the LXI Reference Design
• Available support, discuss the different models (Vendor Forum, Plug fest, TSEP Support)
• Demonstration of the current Vendor forum for Q&A
• Short demonstration of the LXI Reference Design on different development target platforms
• What is coming next
• Open discussion

The agenda for the afternoon workshop will be customized to the LXI Consortium members attending.

The LXI Reference Design is a "technical blueprint" that will help vendors design and implement LXI interfaces into their instrumentation more quickly and with lower cost long term.
