Allison Amadia Joins PayNearMe as General Counsel


SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwired - May 26, 2016) - PayNearMe is an electronic cash transaction network that has been enabling government agencies and businesses to accept cash payments remotely since 2009. Today, the company announced the addition of Allison Amadia as general counsel.

A seasoned technology industry veteran, Amadia brings more than 20 years of experience in securities compliance, intellectual property and technology licensing law to PayNearMe.

Prior to joining PayNearMe, Amadia served as executive vice president, general counsel, chief compliance office, and corporate secretary for Extreme Networks, Inc.

Previously, Amadia held senior legal roles at Novell, Inc., Hewlett-Packard Company and VeriFone, Inc. and has headed her own law firm, representing public and private technology companies such as Portal Software (acquired by Oracle), Good Technology (acquired by Motorola Mobility), ParAccel (acquired by Action), Bytemobile, DVDPlay, Inc. (acquired by NCR), and Equity Administration Solutions, Inc.

Amadia holds a J.D. from University of Pennsylvania Law School and a B.A. in Political Science from University of California at Davis. She was also a former lecturer of technology licensing at University of Santa Clara School of Law.
