Keynote Speakers and Final Agenda Announced for Targeting the Microbiome 2016

Experts From GlaxoSmithKline, Brigham and Women's Hospital, MIT and More Discuss Using the Microbiome as a Tool for Therapeutic Development

Keynote presentations will focus on the dynamics of the microbiome on health and disease and be delivered by Niels Klitgord, Ph.D., Bioinformatician at Human Longevity, Inc., and David T.S. Hayman, Ph.D., Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Public Health, Co-Director of mEpiLab, OIE Collaborating Centre Infectious Disease Research Centre, Hopkirk Research Institute, Massey University, New Zealand. Klitgord's presentation will present an overview of Human Longevity, Inc.'s on-going effort to elucidate the microbiome role in human health and disease that is based on whole genome sequencing and analysis of over 3,000 microbiome samples from well phenotyped cohorts. Hayman's presentation will focus on discovering and modeling pathogen sharing in humans, gorillas and livestock in Uganda.
