UCI Extension and Walden University Develop Articulation Agreement for Various Master's Degree Programs

Widens Educational Opportunities for IT and Project Management Professionals


IRVINE, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 6, 2016) - The University of California, Irvine's continuing education division has further developed an articulation agreement with Walden University, paving the pathway for its students to further their success in higher education. Through this agreement, UCI Extension students in the Information Systems Security, Data Science, and Project Management certificate programs have the opportunity to apply for elective credits toward an online Master's degree from Walden University.

Matkin, Ph.D., dean of Continuing Education, Distance Learning and Summer Session at UCI Extension. "Articulation agreements such as this put students first and provide endless possibilities for professional and personal growth." 

UCI Extension students who have completed the required courses with a grade of 'B' or better and gained admittance to Walden University will have their UCI Extension course credits applied towards the appropriate Graduate Program. The articulation agreement paves the way for course transferability to the following programs at Walden University:

  • Master of Information Systems Management
  • Master of Science in Information Technology; Information Assurance and Cyber Security Specialization
  • Master of Science in Information Technology; Information Systems Specialization
  • Master of Science in Information Technology; Software Engineering Specialization
  • Master of Science in Project Management
