Rimouski Swings to the Rhythm of Jazz for the 31st Year

The Government of Canada supports the Festi Jazz international de Rimouski

RIMOUSKI, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - June 9, 2016) - Department of Canadian Heritage

The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage, today announced $24,300 in support for the 31st Festi Jazz international de Rimouski.

This funding, provided by the Government of Canada under the Local Festivals component of the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program, will enrich the lineup of concerts featuring talent from Rimouski and support the event's team of volunteers.

  • Festi Jazz international de Rimouski will take place from August 31 to September 4, 2016, at different public venues in Rimouski's city centre.
  • Every year, during the Labour Day weekend, Festi Jazz presents a range of jazz performances and free family programs for around 30,000 visitors.
  • Around 300 professional and amateur musicians will grace the exterior stages of the Festi Jazz and perform at different venues in Rimouski.
