(NYSE:FCN), the global business advisory firm dedicated to helping organizations protect and enhance their enterprise value, today announced the appointments of four professionals to the firm’s Global Insurance Services practice within the Forensic and Litigation Consulting segment. The expansion of the practice in North America includes the addition of Jim Wrynn, who joins as a Senior Managing Director, Paul Goldean and Steve Walden, who join as Managing Directors and Gary Bahadur who joins as a Senior Director.
Jim Wrynn is a former New York State Superintendent of Insurance, where he was instrumental in the development of national and international regulations that govern the insurance industry. Mr. Wrynn also helped form the New York State Department of Financial Services (“DFS”), at which time he served as the first Deputy Superintendent of the new department. Following his tenure at DFS, Mr. Wrynn was a Senior Partner in the law offices of Goldberg Segalla, LLP, where he led the firm’s Global Insurance Regulatory practice. Most recently, he served as Managing Director and Vice-Chair at the Guy Carpenter Global Strategic Advisory Group. Mr. Wrynn will be based in New York.
Paul Goldean previously served at Scottish Re Group Limited in a number of positions, including board member, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel. Mr. Goldean has extensive experience with restructuring and turnaround matters, and led Scottish Re in reducing debt and implementing improved accounting and actuarial processes as part of a complex international bankruptcy and insolvency plan. Mr. Goldean will be based in North Carolina.
Steve Walden most recently served as Senior Vice President of Client Development at Risk Management Solutions (“RMS”) and as Chief Executive Officer of RMS Japan. He played a major role in establishing trusted advisor relationships with clients and advised clients on catastrophe risk to help manage capital and determine pricing for high severity, low frequency events. Mr. Walden will be based in the Denver office.
Gary Bahadur is the former Chief Executive Officer of KRAA Security, an IT risk and compliance company, where he provided information security and IT services in the areas of strategy development, vulnerability assessments and other crucial cybersecurity areas. In addition to his time at KRAA, Mr. Bahadur was a Co-founder of Foundstone, Inc., a security vulnerability and risk management firm that was sold to McAfee in 2004. Previously, Mr. Bahadur was a Senior Vice President at Bank of America, where he led the redesign of the Company’s Global Threat Management Lifecycle and Risk Forecasting strategies. Mr. Bahadur has published several books and magazine articles on cyber and information security and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences.
