Renowned Brain Science Experts to Lead iLs Conference 2016

Two-Day Denver Event Brings Together Practitioners and Innovators to Learn and Share Ideas About Improving Brain Function and Emotional Resilience Through Music, Movement, Technology and Education

DENVER, CO--(Marketwired - Jul 6, 2016) -  Integrated Listening Systems (iLs), a provider of multi-sensory programs and products for improving brain function and emotional regulation, today announced the iLs Conference 2016, to be held July 21st and 22nd at the Warwick Hotel in Denver, CO. Keynote speakers will include best-selling author on brain neuroplasticity, Norman Doidge, MD, and Stephen Porges, Ph.D., known for the proposal and development of the Polyvagal Theory. Both will offer their cutting edge insights into the field of brain science at this two-day event.

This one-of-a-kind conference brings together the leading minds and practices in brain function to help attendees explore new ways to work with clients at their practices. The conference will feature sessions on neuroplasticity, vision therapy, listening, auditory processing, perspectives on trauma and recovery, and sleep in the context of children. Pre-conference events include practitioner training courses at the iLs corporate offices commencing on July 17th.

Norman Doidge, MD, is the renowned author of The Brain That Changes Itself and The Brain's Way of Healing, and will lead the first keynote address of the conference. He will discuss the science of neuroplasticity and how the brain can "rewire" itself after damage or disease. Neurophysiologist Stephen Porges, Ph.D, best known for the Polyvagal Theory, linking the evolution of the autonomic nervous system to the emergence of social behavior will also deliver a key note. Porges' theory provides an understanding of self-regulation in the body and an explanation of sensory modulation. He will discuss autonomic nervous system responses in the body, their origins and related practices.

The iLs community has grown to over 9,000 professionals in more than 30 countries, serving hundreds of thousands of children and adults. These professionals play an invaluable role in helping iLs continually refine the program by providing feedback from the field and participating in new research and product trials. The iLs Conference continues this by bringing practitioners and innovators together for continued learning and peer networking.

About Integrated Listening Systems (iLs)
iLs provides a multisensory program for improving brain function and emotional regulation while training the brain to process sensory information. iLs equipment utilizes sound therapy based on advanced psychoacoustics and takes it to a new level of efficacy by combining it with visual and balance activities that are performed while listening. iLs has a global effect on the brain and central nervous system and is successfully applied to a wide variety of conditions, including those related to emotional and behavioral regulation, sensory processing, communication and social skills including Autism, Down Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy. iLs Programs may be applied for learning skills (building skills which enable success in school), performance optimization, psychological/emotional applications and rehabilitation (recovering energy and skills related to language, movement and cognitive function after a stroke or head injury). http://www.integratedlistening.com
