MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - July 7, 2016) - Members of the media are invited to an important milestone event for the New Champlain Bridge attended by the Infrastructure and Communities Minister, the Honorable Amarjeet Sohi, as well as other dignitaries and guests.

Important notice

The event will take place at an active construction site. As such, members of the media are required to conform to applicable health and safety guidelines.

In order to ensure your safety, the following safety measures are required:

  • Media must stay with the group at all times and must not stray from the designated areas for the event. Media are required to follow all directions provided by the accompanying health and safety officers.
  • Media will be provided with a hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, and a numbered bib. Media must supply their own steel-toed boots, and will not be permitted on site without appropriate footwear.
  • Long pants or jeans must be worn. Skirts, shorts and capri-style pants are not acceptable.
  • Handbags, scarves and long or large earrings will not be permitted on site. Media may leave their personal belongings on the bus, or in the designated offices for the duration of the visit.
  • Any violation of these safety measures will result in the exclusion from the visit.
