Minister Bains to lead the Canadian delegation at the Farnborough International Airshow

The Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, will lead the Canadian delegation at this year's Farnborough International Airshow, a major trade exhibition for the aerospace and defence industries. His attendance underscores the importance of Canada's aerospace industry, which is a major driver of economic activity and innovation. In 2015, the sector contributed more than $28 billion to the Canadian economy and employed 211,000 Canadians in well-paying, highly skilled jobs.
During the trade show, Minister Bains will meet with a number of key aerospace stakeholders between July 10 and 13, 2016. He will officially open the Canadian Pavilion on Monday, July 11. The Minister will also highlight the capabilities of the country's aerospace industry and promote Canada as an ideal destination for global aerospace investment.
