FREDERICK, MD--(Marketwired - Jul 12, 2016) - Welocalize, global leader in translation and localization solutions, has demonstrated significant growth and industry leadership over the past year and as a result is now ranked as the 7th largest global language service provider (LSP) in the world, according to independent research firm Common Sense Advisory (CSA).

The recently released ranking of language service providers in Common Sense Advisory's annual global industry report, "The Language Services Market: 2016," indicates Welocalize has made a significant upward move in the Global Top 10 Language Services Providers from 9th place to 7th place in just one year.

"Welocalize has achieved solid and steady growth by delivering a wider portfolio of innovative language and technology solutions to existing and new clients across the complete product lifecycle, from intellectual property to digital marketing and software validation," said Smith Yewell, CEO and co-founder of Welocalize. "We anticipate continued growth and expansion as we partner with industry leaders across all sectors, applying our expertise and specialized services to help them achieve their targeted business goals while earning our position as the most respected and trusted brand in the global language services industry."

The Common Sense Advisory 12th annual global industry report states that the market for outsourced translation and interpreting services and technology grew 5.52% to $40.27 billion from 2015 to 2016 and will grow at an average of 2.82% over the next four years, with a cumulative growth rate of 11.77% over that period.

Welocalize's continued expansion has come from organic growth, acquisitions and diversification of language services in areas of quality validation services, supported by functional and linguistic testing, staffing, language technology and automation, and specialized language solutions in life sciences, digital marketing and finance.

"Welocalize has established itself as one of the most valued, well-respected and fast-moving brands in the global languages service industry," said Jamie Glass, CMO and EVP of global service lines at Welocalize. "Our deliberate prioritization of customer service, quality, global teamwork and innovation is reflective in our dramatic rise in CSA's Global Top 10 Language Service Providers ranking."

As noted in the CSA report, Welocalize has a continuous focus on strategic acquisition to add new brands to the Welocalize portfolio. The company made two significant acquisitions in the past 12 months driven by the intent to play a major role in helping companies with the entire globalization journey, including digital marketing and localization of content in regulated industries.

In December 2015, Welocalize acquired London-based multilingual digital marketing agency Adapt Worldwide and in May 2016, Welocalize acquired Nova to add to its growing portfolio of regulated industry language solutions for life sciences.
