Fish & Richardson Announces Three Principals Named 2016 "Women Worth Watching" by Profiles in Diversity Journal

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - Jul 12, 2016) - Fish & Richardson announced today that three principals -- Natalie Arbaugh, Linda Liu Kordziel, and Cynthia Johnson Walden -- have been named recipients of the 2016 "Women Worth Watching" award by Profiles in Diversity Journal (PDJ). According to the PDJ, "these women are forging ahead with global acclaim in strategies that are making a difference in their workplace, marketplace and around the world."

Arbaugh, who is based in Fish's Dallas office, is a commercial business and intellectual property (IP) litigator with a reputation for top-notch client service, creative problem solving, and courtroom excellence. She has tried nearly 30 cases as lead counsel or second chair including many high-profile business and IP disputes such as trademark and anti-counterfeiting litigation, trade secret, non-compete, and non-solicitation litigation. Arbaugh leads the firm's EMPOWER Women's Initiative, which provides expanded professional and business development opportunities, mentoring, training, and support to Fish's female legal staff. She received her J.D., magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2001 and her B.A., with honors, in business administration from the University of Florida in 1995.

Kordziel, who is based in Washington, D.C., focuses her practice on intellectual property and patent litigation in a vast range of technical areas, including microprocessors, computers, telecommunications, software, and LCD displays. She is a seasoned trial attorney with experience in all phases of litigation, and has extensive experience handling Section 337 patent cases before the U.S. International Trade Commission. Kordziel serves on the selection panel for Fish's 1L Diversity Fellowship Program, which provides diverse first year law students an academic scholarship and a paid summer associate position at the firm. She received her J.D. from Duke University School of Law in 1993 and her B.S., magna cum laude, Tau Beta Pi, in biomedical engineering and electrical engineering from Duke University in 1990.

Walden is the Practice Group Leader of the Trademark and Copyright Group at Fish and is resident in the firm's Boston office. She has nearly 20 years of experience and is well known for providing insightful business advice to clients on all aspects of brand protection and enforcement in the U.S. and in foreign countries around the world. Her practice includes working with clients on all aspects of trademark law, including building and developing strategic global portfolio and brand management plans. Her expertise extends into opposition and cancellation matters before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) and litigating trademark and false advertising matters in federal courts. She also advises clients on protection and enforcement of copyrights, Internet trademark issues, branding, advertising, corporate due diligence, and trademark licensing matters. She received her J.D. from Duke University School of Law in 1995 and her B.S., cum laude, from Dartmouth University in 1990.
