GreatCall's Splash Provides Safety and Security, Allowing Older Adults In Virtual Communities to Age Actively


SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - Jul 13, 2016) - GreatCall Inc. the leader in connected health for active aging, today announced it has teamed up with Jewish Family Services of Greater Houston's community service program Neighbors4Neighbors Network N4NN, a nonprofit virtual community of seniors, supporting each other to enable aging in place. Together, the companies are keeping community members' safe and independent by bringing connectivity to virtual villages of older adults. The joint effort will first launch in Houston, TX.

GreatCall's Splash urgent response device provides peace of mind for families of community members with its one-touch 5Star button. The button connects the user to an IAED Certified Agent who will confirm the location, assess the situation, and connect to whichever services are required, whether you are in an unsafe situation, in need of medical assistance or need emergency dispatch services. The Splash also offers GPS functionality, so family members can use the corresponding GreatCall Link app to get information on their family member's whereabouts.

The program includes 35 N4NN family units involved in this initiative through Jewish Family Services, to whom GreatCall provided a member discount.
