The firm estimates nearly 24% of U.S. broadband households will have an IP camera by 2020, while more than 50% will have a smart home controller and 26% will have a home security system.

- By 2017, the number of replacement or additional IP camera sales will exceed the number of first-time sales.
- Approximately one-fifth of U.S. broadband households own a smart home device, and over 40% are planning to purchase one in 2016.
