"Highway to the Danger Drone" will be presented at the Black Hat Arsenal by Partner Francis Brown, Security Associate Dan Petro, and Security Analyst David Latimer on August 3, 2016 at 11 AM (theater presentation/demo) and 2 PM (hands-on demo). The talk will introduce Bishop Fox's new penetration testing drone. This Raspberry Pi based quadcopter is both cheap and easy to create, making it the first practical drone solution for pentesters. It can be used to perform aerial reconnaissance, attack wireless infrastructure and companies, land on target facility roofs, serve as a persistent unauthorized backdoor, and much more.

Bishop Fox will demonstrate using the Danger Drone to attack "over the air" protocols such as RFID, ZigBee, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and more. The presentation will showcase the hardware and software needed to create the tool and includes the release of Bishop Fox's custom Raspberry Pi SD card image, detailed parts list, 3-D print objects, and instructions to create a Danger Drone of your own.

At DEF CON, security associate Dan Petro offers a new spin on the cult classic video game Smash Bros. in "Game Over, Man! - Reversing Video Games to Create an Unbeatable AI Player" on August 7, 2016 at 12 PM. Audience members will be challenged to play live on stage -- and beat (if possible) -- SmashBot, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) player created by Petro. Watch a video of it in action here:

What started as a fun coding project in response to a simple dare -- a top Smash Bros. player said it wasn't possible to build an AI player that could beat him -- grew into an obsession for Petro that encompassed a combination of hacking disciplines including binary reverse engineering, AI research, and programming. SmashBot was created to play Smash Bros. optimally (no pity, remorse or fear), and has already "destroyed" competitive players who are ranked in the top 100.
