JERICHO, NY--(Marketwired - Aug 1, 2016) - Ecosciences, Inc. (OTCQB: ECEZ) ("Ecosciences" or the "Company") today updates its shareholders on the progress it is making in its pursuit of government contracts for solutions to grease reduction and sewer treatment issues.

In 2015, the Company began pursuing sales in the $25 billion annual local government sewage maintenance market. Going back to 2001, the Wall Street Journal reported that the United States' sewer systems were not efficient at preventing sewage spilling in open water. The article stated, "America's sewers are in a bad way. Three-quarters are so bunged up that they work at half capacity, causing 40,000 illegal spews a year into open water. Local governments already spend US $25 billion a year to keep the sewers running...." The full article is available has been posted on the Company's website:

The following articles also illustrate the problem various cities are having with grease affecting the sewage systems:

1. "GREASE...really is a problem!"

2. "Over the past several years, the city of Ames has found that grease created by the food-service industry is causing problems in the sanitary sewer and water treatment plant."

The following action items show some of the progress the Company is making in its plans to seek government contracts:

  • The Company is in discussions with several east coast engineering firms that design sewer systems to join forces to make pitches to government bodies.
  • The Company is preparing to make presentations, bids and applications to be a preferred solution to municipalities and states for the grease build up problems.
  • The Company is in the process of adding seasoned professionals to its business development team that will advocate and pursue the local government contracts.
  • The Company is forming alliances with distributors to jointly service government agencies in need of solutions.
  • The Company is preparing to conduct treatment tests cases for certain agencies to showcase the effectiveness of its "EZE" products.

Ecosciences' management commented, "The process to obtain government agency contracts is a long one with many steps. The grease-caused sewage system problems facing local governments are real, and we feel our products can be of great assistance. We believe that over the long term, we can be successful in being a government vendor of choice, specifically in the northeast but also nationally and eventually internationally. We have many milestones to accomplish, but feel confident that we will put ourselves in a position to be considered as a strong candidate. We look forward to providing additional updates as more progress is made."
