Crescent(R) Announces New Locking Adjustable Wrench

Latest Product Offering Features Two Times the Gripping Power on Rounded Fasteners

SPARKS, MD--(Marketwired - Aug 11, 2016) - Crescent®, a premier hand tool brand from Apex Tool Group, today announced the latest addition to its line of wrenches. With the versatility of an adjustable wrench and gripping power of a locking plier, the new 10" Locking Adjustable Wrench provides increased access for a wide variety of fasteners.

Users often need amplified gripping power for both tightening and loosening rounded fasteners in confined locations. The 10" Locking Adjustable Wrench provides the increased adjustability necessary to squeeze different shapes and sizes. The new wrench has an anti-slip adjustable jaw with a 1-5/16" maximum opening.

"The jaw of this new wrench is able to grip fasteners tightly, allowing users to ensure a good seal or remove fittings," said Marisa Stephenson, product manager - Shaping, Fastening, and Striking Construction Tools. "Mechanics and plumbers will appreciate the quick release handle with dual material comfort grip. This innovative wrench is easy to use on even corroded fittings."

About Crescent:

Crescent® is a premier hand tool brand from Apex Tool Group, one of the largest hand tool manufacturers in the world. The original Crescent adjustable wrench was introduced in the early 1900s and could replace an entire set of dedicated-size wrenches. This made it perfect for frequent repairs required by early cars and airplanes. In fact, Charles Lindbergh was quoted as saying he carried only "gasoline, sandwiches, a bottle of water and a Crescent wrench and pliers" on his famous 1927 solo transatlantic flight. Today, the Crescent line has expanded beyond adjustable wrenches to include a wide selection of pliers, ratcheting wrenches, screwdrivers, and tool sets.
