AIDS Services Foundation Orange County Announces Participation in Dining Out For Life Orange County

Fundraiser Provides Vital Support to ASF Programs Through Donations From Local Restaurants

IRVINE, CA--(Marketwired - Aug 15, 2016) - AIDS Services Foundation Orange County (ASF) is once again taking part in Dining Out For Life(SM) Orange County on Thursday, September 15, 2016. Dining Out For Life is an annual dining fundraising event which raises money for AIDS service organizations. This charitable event will be held at 14 participating restaurants in the Orange County area that have all pledged to donate 25 percent or more of each customer's bill to ASF.

Unlike other food-focused fundraisers where guests have to bring a flyer or notify the restaurant staff of the intention to participate, Dining Out For Life is an automatic opt-in. Whether guests know it or not, those who eat and drink at participating restaurants on September 15 will be contributing to the fight against HIV/AIDS in OC. It's an ordinary act that will make an extraordinary impact.

"Dining Out For Life brings communities together in an effort to raise much-needed funds for HIV/AIDS service organizations across the nation," says Philip Yaeger, ASF CEO and executive director. "We are incredibly grateful that proceeds from Orange County participation in this event benefit us."

Participating restaurants include the Anaheim Whitehouse, Durty Nelly's, Maro Wood Grill, Pieology (Westminster), Plum's Café, Port, Samba Brazilian Steakhouse, Square One Pizza, Sundried Tomato (San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano), Velvet Lounge and Zinc Café (CDM and Long Beach). For a complete list of participating restaurants click here.

The proceeds raised from this event will be used to benefit ASF's client programs which help improve the lives of men, women, and children affected by HIV/AIDS in Orange County and help support ASF's mission to prevent the spread of HIV and end the epidemic.

"Every penny raised through Dining Out for Life results in some sort of aid to our clientele," says Yaeger. "Programs such as case management, housing assistance, mental health services and transportation are always in need of funding."
