SINGAPORE--(Marketwired - Aug 16, 2016) - The "Cynosure APAC Forum" which took place in Bangkok on 5th June 2016 saw leading aesthetics professionals and industry experts come together, to share information on energy-based innovations and cutting-edge technology ideas, relating to the latest aesthetic laser treatments. The main aim of the forum was to explore new breakthroughs and treatment best practices in the Asia Pacific region.

According to research by MarketsandMarkets, the global medical aesthetics market is estimated to grow at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 10.8% from 2015 to 2020. Among all, the Asia-Pacific region is expected to grow at the highest CAGR of 12.6% during the next five years.

With the technology advancement in the aesthetic market, consumers are increasingly interested in the safety profile and convenience of the procedures they desire. Non-invasive aesthetic procedures are becoming increasingly popular, which has escalated the growth of energy-based devices in the industry. Based on the same report, technological advancements in energy-based devices were also seen as one of the key drivers for this growth. In addition, most of these treatments are also a lot more cost-effective as compared to conventional surgical procedures.

"We have observed the rising demand for aesthetic laser treatments in Asia. With this, Cynosure is committed to facilitating more resources for physicians in APAC, in order to provide better solutions and services to our customers. Cynosure celebrated its 25th anniversary this year, and as the leading brand in the industry, we hope to continue to expand the variety of products and services, to better serve the emerging needs," Mr. Richard Bankowski, Vice President, Field Clinical, Cynosure, Inc., the leading manufacturer in aesthetic laser devices, stated.
