The second autofocus lens in their portfolio, this wide-angle prime is designed for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras, and features a bright f/2.8 maximum aperture to permit working under a variety of lighting conditions. The lens design uses both extra-low dispersion and aspherical elements to produce a high degree of image clarity with accurate colors. Also featured is an Ultra Multi-Coating, to prevent ghosting and lens flare. An integrated petal-shape lens hood works to minimize flare, and protects the front element from bumps and impacts. Additionally, manual focus-override gives more refined focusing control, and a circular seven-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality for selective focus applications.
