The cyber-attackers or hackers stole the personal information as well as personal financial information which may include names, addresses, birth dates, doctors' names, dates of service, claims information, health records, health insurance information, driver’s license information and/or military identification numbers, social security numbers, credit card numbers or other payment information. Banner Health is a health system based in Phoenix, Arizona that operates 23 hospitals as well as specialized medical facilities. There appear to be at least 27 Banner Health locations affected by the data breach in four states including Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, and Wyoming.
The plaintiff seeks to recover damages on behalf of all Banner Health doctors, patients, employees, cafeteria customers, and others whose personal and financial information was compromised.
