Government of Canada supports an innovative project of Aviatech Products

Funding will help simplify assembly of Super Cyclone kit plane

ALMA, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Aug. 23, 2016) - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

The Government of Canada recognizes that innovation-be it for the creation of new technologies and processes or for the development of new management models-is essential in today's global economy.

The Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for CED, today announced that the firm Aviatech Products has been granted $39,750 in financial assistance.

The funding, awarded through CED's Quebec Economic Development Program (QEDP), will enable the enterprise to improve the manufacturing process for its Super Cyclone, a kit airplane intended for do-it-yourselfers who want to build their own craft through the assembly of pre-cut and pre-formed components.

The project involves the 3D digitization of the plane and the optimization of its components. Assembly diagrams and a bilingual instruction manual will then be produced to considerably simplify the task for the amateur builder.

CED is one of six regional development agencies under the responsibility of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development.
