This is a promotion for Maldonado, who most recently served as chief accounting officer. He is responsible for interfacing with key external company financial relationships, external auditors, tax partners and acquisitions in addition to leading the finance & accounting department.

Prior to joining Associa in 2012, Maldonado spent 20 years working for private equity and venture capital real estate and service-related businesses. He was the CEO of Servicios Maple in Monterrey, Mexico, and before that he served in executive-level positions at Grupo Pulsar and Grupo Domos. He also had roles as CFO and CEO for service-oriented businesses placed in the logistics, software development and environmental sectors.
Maldonado received his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the Tecnologico de Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico, and Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the Babson Graduate School of Business in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
