MALARTIC, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Sept. 20, 2016) - For a long time, key actors in the community have been looking for a concrete sustainable way to improve community and recreational infrastructure. The Government of Canada is proud to support projects such as the one from the Comité "Piste 4 saisons" in Malartic, which contribute to the vitality and dynamism of all regions across the country.

The Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for CED, announced that the Comité "Piste 4 saisons" in Malartic is being granted $453,117 in financial assistance in the form of a non-repayable contribution to improve and extend the multi-use trail.

The organization was created in 2013, and its mission is to continue to develop the multi-use path. The funding provided under the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program (CIP150) will be used by the organization to install culverts, signage, markers, benches and a shelter, to spread gravel and rock dust on the path and extend it to seven kilometres.
