Alexium International Group Limited ("Alexium," "the Company") (ASX: AJX) (OTCQX: AXXIY) today announced the receipt of four new purchase orders with leading international manufacturers in the transportation, bedding, and carpet industries for its leading-edge flame retardant (FR) and Alexicool™ Phase Change Material (PCM) solutions, representing annual revenue of US$3 million.

The new September 2016 purchase orders are for Alexiflam FR™, the award-winning Alexiflam-Crockban™ and for Alexicool™, a phase change material that provides a cool-to-the-touch feel for fabrics that retain heat.

Automotive
A new customer in the automotive industry has ordered Alexiflam-Crockban™, a new environmentally friendly FR solution selected as one of FabricLinks Top 10 Textile Innovations for 2015-16. The chemistry, which can be used for many applications as a barrier to dye transfer from fabrics onto other fabrics, surfaces and skin, has extended Alexium's presence with major automotive manufacturers in the United States, Europe and Japan.

"There are a wide range of applications of our environmentally friendly and performance enhancing chemistries in the valuable transportation market, and we are very pleased with the performance of Alexiflam-Crockban™ under the demanding automotive performance standards," Schwartz said. "As we work in parallel with the customers on fire retardant products, we will be expanding our offerings to be a more complete solutions provider to the transportation market."

Production of Alexiflam-Crockban™ for this new customer has commenced.

Bedding

(1) A major manufacturer of mattress socks for the bedding industry (a fabric wrap that is wrapped around the foam core of the mattress and used to protect and strengthen durability of mattresses) has entered into new agreements for Alexium's blend of FR and PCM solutions for two different types of fabrics used in mattress socks. This customer requires the addition of Alexicool™ phase change material performance while maintaining flame retardancy, a new approach not yet being used in the bedding industry.

(2) In addition, an existing Alexicool™ partner in the bedding industry has entered into a new purchase order agreement to expand its menu of product offering across a broader spectrum of PCM temperature ranges. The success of this project will open significant opportunities for Alexium with its other bedding partners.

Carpet
Alexium has received a new purchase order for environmentally friendly FR from a major carpet supplier to the transportation industry. The partnership with this carpet supplier has resulted in a number of new applications for Alexium's technology.
