LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - September 23, 2016) - Continuing to emerge as a powerhouse singer/songwriter in his own right while carrying on two distinctive musical legacies, Rolan Bolan -- son of late T-Rex frontman and glam rock legend Marc Bolan and singer and Grammy nominated Motown songwriter Gloria Jones -- will headline Bar 20 in West Hollywood Saturday, September 24.
Bolan will be joined by fellow singer/songwriter and frequent collaborator Adam Stackpole and cellist Jeness. Bar 20 is located at 8462 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90069.
The following evening, Sunday, September 25, Bolan will be hitting the red carpet and joining members of his extended Motown family at the 27th Annual HAL Awards Dinner at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills. The Heroes and Legends (HAL) Scholarship Foundation was created by celebrated songwriter and Motown alumna Janie Bradford to aid "at risk" youth and to publicly recognize others who share her vision. 2016 honorees include Valerie Simpson and Teddy Riley, with a special salute to Smokey Robinson & The Miracles.

One of the guests at Bolan's table will be songwriter Brian Lapin, who co-penned the singer's most recent iTunes released single "Up To Me."
Bolan is currently shooting five new music videos -- four originals and a cover of the T-Rex classic "Children of the Revolution" -- which will be released together as part of a 30 minute short film. In 2014, his song "Trust" won Best Alternative Song at the Hollywood Music In Media Awards (HMMA).
Bolan's passion for eclectic music served him well as host of a podcast whose name, "The Electric Boogie Lounge: Live From The PuNP House," draws inspiration from his father's well known song "Electric Boogie." The host station, Transcend Pop Culture Radio, was an offshoot of Transcendental Music (TMusic), the premier charity record label founded by filmmaker David Lynch. The proceeds from Bolan's show go to help inner city kids.
