Driven by Developer Demand, Flowroute Expands Software Development Kit Program With Introduction of .NET SDK

Latest SDK Addition Underscores Flowroute's Commitment to Simplify Programmatic Access to Communication Resources for SaaS and Digital Businesses

SEATTLE, WA and GLENDALE, AZ--(Marketwired - September 28, 2016) - Flowroute Inc., the leading provider of advanced calling and messaging services for SaaS-based companies, today announced the addition of the .NET software development kit (SDK) as part of its SDK program which simplifies the integration and operations of calling and messaging in apps and cloud services. In addition to .NET, the program also maintains SDKs in Python, NodeJS, PHP and Ruby on Rails. Since Flowroute's SDK program was launched in February 2016, calls to the API have tripled, demonstrating the need for a simple means to rapidly implement communications services within the application experience.

Today's announcement is in conjunction with Flowroute's participation in AstriCon, the Asterisk User Conference and Expo, where Flowroute is exhibiting in booth 29 and presenting in a session titled "The Convergence of APIs & Telecom."

"This latest extension to our SDK Program came from overwhelming demand from the .NET development community, who want direct control of their communications initiatives," said Sean Hsieh, founder and chief product officer at Flowroute. "Our overarching goal at Flowroute is to simplify the way that telecom services and resources are integrated, operated and controlled to eliminate the frustration and complexity developers encounter when working with legacy telecom providers."

Flowroute's SDK program gives developers programmatic access to:

  • Send and receive SMS: Create customer interactions via text messaging from an existing toll-free or long code phone number.
  • Provision phone numbers: Manage all phone numbers including adding new phone numbers from Flowroute's inventory.
  • Manage number routing: Add and change calling and messaging routing in real-time.

Developers can access the Flowroute SDKs and obtain technical resources like product documentation, code examples across common development languages, access the API explorer, and request assistance at the Flowroute Developer portal.
